I just realized how fast change is occurring.
Last night, I ventured to Barnes and Noble and browsed through the computer graphics and photography sections. It was amazing that almost every book related to software was out-of-date content. Adobe releases CC and immediately every CS6 book is old information. I wandered around the store looking at the millions of pages of stories and thought to myself, “This is all going away and being replaced with billions upon billions of bytes of the most current and up-to-date information.”
I’m a little sad. I like books. I love the feel and the smell, old and new. But change is here. And I think I’ll be okay with it. Until I’m not. Then I’ll be another old man, sitting on the digital porch, telling people to stay off my lawn (Facebook wall).
